What Are Cookies? How to See my Cookies?
First off to know how to see and delete your cookies you will need to know exactly what a cookie is and no it’s not your favourite chocolate chip type of cookie. A cookie is a text string that gets entered into the memory of you’re browser. There are many different reasons behind why websites use these cookies and they are as followed.
• Personalizing information
• Help with Sales Services
• Collects information
• Helps with quick log-ins
• Adds to security
All of those above reasons add to why sites use cookies, if you want to view you’re cookies you can do so by either the server or browser side. Most cookies can be useful to the user although there are some very intrusive cookies which aren’t good to have.
On Windows each user has a separate cookie folder in the C: drive this is where you can locate them, but remembers that for every user there is a new folder. This means you to view all the cookies you would need to be on each users account. You can do this from the admin account of any Windows software. It’s important to view you’re cookies all the time as they need to be deleted regularly.
In the next post, I will show you how to delete your cookies.
