How to Clear Adult Sites from Your Browser
Clearing Adult Sites from your browser, we all have had to. Let’s face it, we aren’t perfect and we don’t always visit the most G rated sites. Just in case your wife/mother/mother in law/girlfriend knows how to work a computer, you might want to take these steps to clear those not safe for work sites out of your browser.
First off, delete your browsing history. This shows every single page you visited during your Internet session.
Second, delete your temporary Internet files. This will ensure files that were downloaded, or “cached” on your hard drive will not be available for view. For users of IE 7, you can do the above actions by clicking on Internet Options and going to the General tab.
Firefox is a bit different. You should delete everything. You can do that by clicking on Tools and clear private data. Check every field you can. This will make sure the erasure of data is the highest strength available.
There is one more option for those ambitious enough. You can go into the computers registry files, and delete any urls you typed. WARNING, FOLLOW THESE STEPS OR YOU MAY DISABLE YOUR COMPUTER! Click on Start and then open the run dialog. Enter REGEDIT press enter and click ok. Click the Plus sign next to the following folders,
• HKEY_CURRENT_USER
• Software
• Microsoft
• Internet Explorer
• Typed URLs
You’ll find a list of the sites you typed into Internet Explorer. Right click on the name field and delete any entries you want. This method works for IE only, check all the boxes of clearing data for FireFox will do this for FireFox. Hopefully these tips will help you stay safe when you visit adult sites in the future. If you want to avoid this hassle, set Internet Explorer to the Maximum security level and none of this will ever be an issue.
